Relax and Unwind with Ka Huna (Hawaiian) Massage

Ka Huna Massage is derived from the ancient Polynesian methods of restoring balance to the body, mind and soul. Through this treatment of the physical body, powerful healing is able to take place more quickly and completely on the physical, mental and emotional levels.  You will experience a firm massage that promotes healing and relaxation, leaving you feeling free from stress long after the massage is over.

How does it work?

Polynesian philosophy has to do with moving forward. It works like a dynamic repatterning process on the body, mind and spirit, giving you the opportunity to realign yourself and change old, non-contributing patterns within your body.

During the massage you may feel some pain associated with deep tissue massage. Instead of gritting your teeth to suppress the pain even more, you are asked to acknowledge that this is pain you have stored in your body for some time. You are invited to release this pain through visualisation or the releasement of emotion.

KaHuna Bodywork (Massage) embodies the 7 principles of Huna (Please read below The 7 Principles of Huna (of LIFE). These principles form the foundation and energy created during a KaHuna Massage (Bodywork) session. The major benefit of KaHuna Bodywork lies in your greater understanding of your own physical and emotional body and how they are linked together. KaHuna Massage (Bodywork) creates an environment for you to experience healing on all levels (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual), connecting you to all aspects of self and promoting your body's own healing processes. It is a powerful session leaving you feeling present in your body and able to manage the stress in your life.

7 PRINCIPLES OF HUNA

IKE (ee-kay)
The world is what you think it is BE AWARE
Our thoughts make us who and what we are, be conscious of your thoughts. If you want to change your situation, all you have to do is change your thoughts! Your body and your life will follow! Alter the way you see reality and you WILL alter reality.

KALA (kah-lah)
There are no limits - BE FREE

Following on from IKE – ensure that when you think, you think without limitation! The most successful people think without limitations. Be free in your thinking! Whatever the mind of a person can conceive and believe, it can achieve! So THINK BIG.

MAKIA (mah-kee-ah)
Energy flows where attention goes - BE FOCUSED

What you focus on you create, be focused so that your energy is flowing toward what you would like to create, not what you do not want to create. So if you focus on negativity all day long then you will notice more negativity all around you. If you focus on the positive then you will notice you start to attract positive people around you and positive events. You choose what to focus your attention on – so be focused on what you want at all times.

MANAWA (mah-nah-wah)
Now is the moment of power - BE HERE

Our thoughts go from past, present to future in any given moment. To be powerful in the present moment means to keep your thoughts focused on what you are doing today. Let the past be the past and allow the future to come when it's ready. Be Here, Be Present in the Moment NOW.

ALOHA (ah-lo-hah)
To love is to be happy - BE HAPPY

Aloha means many things, but in one word perhaps it is best described as “love”. Love is happiness. Aloha is a caring for others as well as, or as much as, for your own self. The Hawaiians use the idea of Aloha to define their society, their relationship with each other and their philosophy of life. It is with “aloha spirit” that all things are done. Aloha is Love.

MANA (mah-nah)
All power comes from within - BE CONFIDENT

Mana is power or energy. All power comes from within. Hawaiian belief is that Mana is the name for the one source of all the power that exists in the universe. This power is universal and flows through not only us, but through animals and plants, the foundation of the earth, the skies and planets, and everything that we know exists. You have the power within.

PONO (poh-noh)
Effectiveness is the measure of truth - BE POSITIVE

Effectiveness is the measure of truth. A method, a plan, certain actions, when put in motion, work. Take action, don't sit back and let life happen to you. Take action today and create the life you want.
